Dear Oakhurst Parents and Neighbors:

First, some great news!

Despite the tumult of 2020, Oakhurst parents and teachers are successfully volunteering their time and effort with the PTA.

The commitment, kindness and generosity of the Oakhurst community allowed the PTA to purchase school supplies, bulk hand-sanitizer, PPE, and disinfectant wipes for teachers and students. We’re preparing for the possibility of in-person classes by purchasing microphone headsets, clear face-masks, mask brackets, document cameras, and yoga mats that kids can use to comfortably sit and eat lunch outside. PTA Parent volunteers launched a Diversity and Equity initiative over the summer to give every child at our school and opportunity to thrive. And volunteers are gearing up for a Book Fair and Read-A-Thon to keep your kids' minds active and the media center stocked. We’ve been busy!

Now the bad news . . .

PTA’s critical student and teacher support programs are at risk and we need your help. Urgently.

The pandemic forced us to cancel the 2020 spring auction, our largest annual fundraiser by far. Without your help, we’re heading for a revenue shortfall. Please donate today. Your tax-deductible gift to Oakhurst Elementary School PTA will ensure students, teachers and staff have the resources they need - books, computers, school supplies - to have a successful 2020-2021 school year.
